Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with an awareness of the full development cycle: from design to deployment, including testing, to join our Coupons and Benefits team in Madrid office. In this team we are responsible for analyzing, designing, and creating business products that allow Zooplus to engage new customers, increase customer retention and save margin in our promotions.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:

• work with your team and product owner designing technical solutions for business challenges.
• work in an Agile environment in close collaboration with other teams.
• develop & deliver applications for our e-commerce platform.
• automate test suites to maintain high quality standards.
• operate & patch our production applications.
• support our users with any doubts or issues they might have.
• use state of the art technologies and practices

These are some of the technologies/frameworks/practices we use:

• For backend code: kotlin & java (spring).
• For frontend code: typescript & react.
• We have both Oracle and Postgres SQL databases.
• We have test suites for backend code in K6, junit & mockito, postman and cucumber.
• We have test suites for frontend code with jest and cypress.
• We manage our infrastructure in AWS with terraform.
• We use k8s, ELK, prometheus, jenkins, ...

Your responsibilities

• Proactively participate in solution design, planning and alignment with your team and other teams.
• Support users, helping them make great use of our products while finding possible improvements.
• Implement and deliver digital products and features. Give and be open to receiving constructive feedback.
• Test your code and peers' code thoroughly to find possible bugs before launching to production.
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code project and pipelines.
